Occured to me the other day
You've been gone now a couple years
well, I guess it takes while
For someone to really disappear
And I remember where I was
When the word came about you
It was a day much like today
the sky was bright, and wide, and blue
And I wonder where you are
And if the pain ends when you die
And I wonder if there was
Some better way to say goodbye
Today my heart is big and sore
it's tryin' to push right through my skin
I won't see you anymore
I guess that's finally sinkin' in
'Cause you can't make somebody see
By the simple words you say
All their beauty from within
Sometimes they just look away
But I wonder where you are
And if the pain ends when you die
And I wonder if there was
Some better way to say goodbye
| Yesterday's HotD: Tawni: "Did you know that kangaroos will lick their forearms to cool off?"
Today's HotD: Maranda IM'ed me and typed, "FYI -- have been watching Veronica Mars since 5:00...will I ever be able to turn it off?" and later she asked randomly, "Have you ever heard the joke about the guy and girl who were having anal sex?"
Edie Carey - Compromise
Your love is sweet and soft Look how you use those eyes And the way you compromise Your love is sweet and strong It pulls me in with the tide And up is down and down is wrong Go or stay, stay or go
Just be a poet about it Fall down on your knees Be a poet if that's what you claim to be Be a poet outside of your sad poetry
Your love is neither hot nor cold It's that you can't quite name it That makes me feel old Your love comes apart when it hits the light Go or stay, stay or go
Just be a poet about it Fall down on your knees Be a poet if that's what you claim to be Be a poet outside of your sad poetry Be a poet about it Yeah, work up a sweat Do everything you have not done yet Be a poet outside of your sad poetry
Your love is sweet and it's soft I'd kill to believe those eyes Just look how I compromised

| Yesterday a resident at work (of course she was at work) asked, "What did he ever do for anybody," the he referencing MLKJ. And she was serious.
In the other building, only about 7 residents were out of bed. The others have flu. When I was telling my sister this, I said, "Kristin, I was at work to day and only 7 residents--" K interrupted, "survived the night?" and then burst into laughter.

| Where's my beautiful queen? Where is she?
Is she in the sunny sunshine? Will she call me?
| I was a landmass I was seeping, seething, locks of seaweed grass I was a landmass
I, I was a landmass I was beautiful and boobed-- a mountain pass I was a landmass
I, I was a landmass And floating And floating And floating Floating
